Install

There is no installer. You copy one folder.

1. Extract this zip.
2. Copy the whole TRUMSYNT-16.vst3 folder into

     C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\

That is the folder every VST3 host scans by default.
3. Windows asks for administrator permission, because that folder is shared by
   all accounts.
4. Start your DAW and let it rescan its plug-ins.

TRUMSYNT-16.vst3 is a folder, not a file, even though Windows may draw it with
a plug-in icon. Copy the whole thing.

Updating from an older version

Close your DAW, extract the new zip, and replace the existing
TRUMSYNT-16.vst3 folder in

  C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\

Presets and license files live in AppData and are not touched by replacing the
plug-in folder.

To uninstall, delete that folder again.

This Build Is Not Signed

There is no code signing certificate behind this release, so Windows has no
publisher name to show you and may warn you about the file. Nothing has gone
wrong if it does.

What you can check instead is the SHA-256 sum published beside the download.
Open PowerShell in the folder you downloaded to and run

  Get-FileHash <the downloaded .zip> -Algorithm SHA256

then compare it with the .sha256.txt file from the download page. If the two
match, this is byte for byte the file that was built here.

Factory Presets

You do not install these. TRUMSYNT-16 writes its own factory presets the first
time it runs, into

  %APPDATA%\Liljeholmen DSP\TRUMSYNT-16\Presets\Factory

Your own saved presets live next to them in \Presets\User and are never
touched.

License File

TRUMSYNT-16 uses an offline license file. There is no online activation and no
in-plugin authorization button.

Place a purchased license file here:

  %APPDATA%\Liljeholmen DSP\TRUMSYNT-16\TRUMSYNT-16.license

Paste that path into the Explorer address bar to get there, or open the plug-in
and use the button in the license message, which opens the folder for you.

The file name has to be exactly TRUMSYNT-16.license. If you download it twice,
your browser saves the second copy as "TRUMSYNT-16 (1).license" and the plug-in
will not find it. Rename it or delete the first one.

Demo Behavior

Without a valid license file, TRUMSYNT-16 runs as a full-featured 7-day demo.
The demo period starts when the plug-in window is opened for the first time,
not during DAW scan. That means a fresh install loaded inside an existing
project stays silent until you open the plug-in window once. After the demo
period, the plugin still opens but stops producing useful audio output.
